Overview

CVLumo is a CV builder for job seekers that combines a live editor and ATS-safe templates with an ATS check and job matching. Users can import an existing CV from PDF or Word, edit it side by side with a live preview, and export a clean PDF or Word file with no watermark. It works offline as an installable web app and supports Urdu and Arabic right-to-left layouts.

The challenge

Most job seekers are filtered out by applicant tracking systems before a person ever reads their CV, and the free CV builders that exist either add watermarks, lock exports behind a paywall, or produce layouts that ATS software can't read.

My approach

I built CVLumo as a fast multi-page React app on Cloudflare: every template is designed to be ATS-readable, an ATS check links each issue to its fix, and a job-match tool compares the CV against a pasted job post to show missing skills. Import parses PDF and Word files in the browser, exports generate real PDF and Word documents, and a service worker keeps the editor working offline.
